Chocolate Marble Cake Recipe

A lovely chocolate marble cake recipe that would go great with a coffee, tea or glass of milk!
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Additional 1/4 cup milk
1 square semi-sweet chocolate
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Grease a deep round cake pan or line the bottom with wax paper or dust lightly with flour.
Sift together the dry ingredients, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into a large mixing bowl.
Add the butter, 3/4 cup of milk and vanilla
Beat for 1 minute on low speed.
Add the 1/4 cup milk and eggs and beat for another 2 minutes on low speed.
Take 1/3 of the batter and put it into a separate bowl. Melt the one square of semi-sweet chocolate in a saucepan on the stovetop and stir the melted chocolate into this portion of batter.
Pour the white batter into your prepared baking pan. Drop chocolate batter onto the top of the white batter and swirl in.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.
You will know it is done when the cake springs back the lightly touched.
Cool for 5 minutes then remove from pans onto a cooling rack.
